RIP to The Hornet — another Denver institution closing

Just heard The Hornet on Broadway is closing at the end of the month after 20+ years. This was THE late-night spot for so many of us. Their green chili was legendary.
The owner said the lease renewal was just too expensive. Another victim of rising commercial rents on South Broadway. This one really hurts.
