Denver was treated to a stunning full moon display last night, and social media lit up with breathtaking photos from across the city.

The clear skies and low humidity created ideal conditions for moon photography. Shots from City Park, Red Rocks, and various downtown vantage points flooded local social media.

"The way the moonlight hit the mountains was unreal," wrote one photographer who captured the scene from Sloan's Lake. "This is why I love living here."

Colorado's high altitude and generally clear skies make it one of the best states in the country for astronomical observation. The next notable celestial event will be a partial lunar eclipse visible from Denver in late April.
